Welcome to my blog! My name is Melissa Gregersen and I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer serving Southwest Michigan....though my passport is up to date...so I am more than willing to travel.
I have the best job in the world...I am so passionate about photography. I am blessed to have the opportunity to get to know so many amazing people and photograph their memories: such as the first time they hold their newborn child, playing on the beach as a family or a father walking his daughter down the aisle. I truly love my job!!
My other passions in life are my husband, Jayme, and our beautiful daughter, Norah. I cannot live without chocolate...or at least refuse to try. =) I love a clean house, but have given up on that to a certain degree with a two year old. I am a wanna be computer geek.

Nathan and Leigh were married at Yarrow Golf Resort. Such a sweet and very relaxed wedding. Leigh and Nathan are enjoying a fabulous honeymoon in Europe…so jealous of those two. =) I hope they can look at these wedding photos are remember how beautiful their wedding day really was…I wish you two only the best! Thank you for everything!!

Ok…I will admit I am not the best mommy when it comes to posting photos of Noelle compared to when I was pregnant with Norah. However, I was not in the midst of a busy wedding season when I was pregnant with Norah either. So better late than never right?? =)
These 3D photos were taken of Noelle when I was 18 weeks pregnant with her, I am now at 26 weeks. I have another ultrasound scheduled for 29 weeks, though I doubt I will be given a 3D photo again. I am really looking forward to seeing my little girl one more time before she is born. Please excuse the lack of quality as these are scanned images. Our favorite image is the last one where she has her arms up over her head. Active little girl we have…..believe me, I know!
Noelle Marie is due around Thanksgiving time. We are so excited…she has one big sister who talks about her all the time and kisses my belly. In three months, Noelle will be here. I have so much to do before then, like four more weddings, moving and settling into our new house in September, finding and organizing all the baby stuff and then figuring out what all I need. I feel really unprepared this time around, so I hope she doesn’t surprise us with too early of a visit, because I need time!! =)

Meet the adorable Huff family! I have really enjoyed working with this sweet family. =) I was able to show them their photos today at their “view and order” session, and mom cried! I love that, because I know I did my job. It’s so fun to see how they connect with their photos, and treasure them immediately. Great job I have….I am sure I have said that before! =)
Jen asked to come in for a quick maternity session, since she is due in less than two weeks!! =) They are expecting another sweet little girl. So excited for them. =) I am looking forward to having some photos done of Norah and I soon just like Jen and Joelle. What a great memory for them to capture before the new baby girl arrives.

I hope everyone is making the most of this warm (ok HOT) Michigan summer. As busy as I have been this year with weddings, and other sessions….we have really tried hard to enjoy this summer as a family.
I was looking at my schedule this last week for the month of September, and I then realized our summer has just slipped away. It is just too short.
September is a very busy month for our family. I will be in my 7 month of pregnancy, we will be buying a house, and then moving into that house. We are moving to the Plainwell area. =) I have three fabulous weddings to photograph, and the big news is Norah starts preschool. My beanie baby is starting school. I am so excited for her, she is so ready for it. =)
I hope you all make the most of the rest of our summer. Don’t forget this fall is the time to get some great family photos for Christmas cards!! So give me a call at the studio if you would like to set something up…..Christmas will be here too fast!!

I had the honor to photograph Cheyenne and Kyle’s lovely beach wedding in South Haven, MI. The wedding was planned perfectly by Jody with “The Organized Partner“. Jody specializes in lakeshore weddings, and alway exceeds her bride and groom’s expectations.

Ok…back to Cheyenne and Kyle. They were so easy to photograph as you can see. Good looking pair! =) We were blessed with a beautiful sunset, and made the most of it. I sure hope they love the photos, they were all a great group to work with.

Ben and Amy are ADORABLE! I love their genuine smiles, and they are so in love!! =) Ben was so cute when he was getting ready for the “first look”. Amy was walking up behind him and he could hardly contain himself. =) So sweet!! =)
They had a lovely wedding on Western Michigan University’s campus. They were able to have the first ever reception on the stage of Miller Auditorium. It was beautiful. As a photographer, it was fun to see the “back stage” and be able to get some fun “moody” photos back there.
I wish Ben and Amy all the best in their marriage….they are so cute together! =)

The day started out with rain, lots of rain all morning. However, as I was heading to the wedding, the clouds cleared up and it was a beautiful afternoon for their outdoor wedding at the Battle Creek Country Club. The weather was not suppose to be that cooperative so we all were thrilled that we had sun and clouds, and even a strong breeze to keep us cool….especially me as the pregnant one, I am loving strong breezes this summer. =)
Megan and Bill were such a sweet couple to work with on their wedding day. I have really enjoyed getting to know them this past year, and wish them only the best in their marriage and future together.

Meet the sweet baby Lily. I photographed her mommy and daddy’s wedding about two years ago, and then did some maternity photos for them….and was honored when they asked me to photograph Lily’s first few days of life. She is so sweet…and beautiful. =)
Here is some photos from the lovely Katie’s senior session a few weeks ago. We started out in downtown Kalamazoo, and then worked out into the “country” a little.
We had a great time! Katie was up for anything, and looked fabulous! =) Can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos next week Katie!!
