Melissa photographed a coworker family I knew. What drew me to the images was the un-posed child and family pictures that captured the love that they had for each other. When pregnant with my first child, Olive, I wanted to capture that beautiful newborn baby as she grew over her first year. When I met Melissa I knew she was right for us. Her values, work ethic, quality and commitment to family was what keeps us coming back.We might not get our pictures taken as often these days, but when we do we are always surprised at how amazing the images look. We compare how we feel our kids behaved during the session and it seems like I am “just hoping for one good one.” When we view the images those feeling are gone and replaced by love and beauty for our kids and family. I am always grateful for the many beautiful selections to choose from.

We saw pictures done by Melissa in a friend’s home a few years ago and were amazed at the quality of the photos. Going to a new photographer made me nervous as you just don’t know if it’s going to work out. But she welcomed us into her studio and treated us like friends. Our boys didn’t cry – they had fun! With three young boys, I feel like our family sessions will never turn out but Melissa always delivers the most amazing, unsuspected shots of EVERYONE smiling! The quality of the pictures on our walls are absolutely pure and will be treasured in our home for years to come. Melissa’s work is amazing, she is very accommodating and fabulous with kids!

After some Google searching for newborn baby and family photographers when we moved to the Kalamazoo area 4 years ago, my husband and I happened upon Gregersen Photography’s website. Wedding, Maternity, and Newborn Photography
Wow! Where to begin?!? My husband and I first met Melissa when we needed a wedding photographer. She took our engagement photos, and “HELLO!” this gal is amazing. We were totally blown away by our engagement photos, and this was only the beginning. She was so great to work with very nice, patient, understanding, and shared the same Christian beliefs as we did.
Melissa is very professional, but makes you feel like she has known you as a friend forever (even when crazy OCD bride kicks in). Our wedding photographs were incredible. Melissa’s photographs are very professional and have a unique personal touch. She knows how to capture that “perfect” moment and bring out the life and emotion in the photo. The photographs she captures are not only of people looking directly at the camera posed, but are timeless, real moments captured with a click.
We also used Gregersen Photography for our maternity pictures and The Adored Baby Plan for our newborn photography and the first year of our baby’s life. The maternity and newborn photos bring tears to my eyes every time I look at them. Our now 11 month old son has been photographed by Melissa for newborn, 3 month, and 6 month photos. We are scheduled to go in for our 1 year in a couple weeks. What can I say?!? We keep coming back. Our home is covered in Melissa’s awe-inspiring photographs. Time will pass, and Melissa’s photographs will be moved around our home as our family grows, but those moments she captured will always seem just as real as the day she took them.
Melissa doesn’t only take amazing photographs and capture the most precious times in our lives, but she also gives back to the community. She volunteers her time to go to Bronson Hospital and take photographs of babies. We have been very impressed with Melissa and Gregersen Photography and won’t go anywhere else!
