Skylar & Justin:: Southern Exposure Wedding
It was suppose to rain and be super windy on their wedding day at Southern Exposure. It was windy, but gorgeous blue skies and temperatures for their special day. When I met Skylar, I knew she was my kind of bride….she knew what she wanted, and she trusted me completely. Enjoy the sneak peak below….
We met through a mutual friend. She was my boss and his really good friend. We became best friends immediately and always went on lunch dates together, and he would always send me flowers on Valentine’s Day, and we would exchange Christmas gifts and things like that. Eventually after that, we became more than friends, and have been officially together for over a year.
Justin and I had talked about getting engaged for a few months. He had known the ring was getting delivered, just not when. When there was a knock at the door randomly at 10 am, I had a feeling. So I was drinking my coffee in my robe, and Justin came out in a full suit and tie and proposed to me in our living room. We just couldn’t wait 🙂
Skylar- I love his work ethic. He is the most dedicated and hard working person I know. He always does what he says, definitely a man of his word.
Justin-I love how much she cares about me and how she understands me more than anyone I know. She always pushes us to be the best people we can possibly be.

Skylar– Honestly, watching our shows together. It’s so nice to come home after a long day and relax together and catch up on them!Justin– Golfing, traveling, going out for a nice dinner and just getting to spend quality time with my wife.
-
Skylar- I definitely think our first look was the best memory of our wedding. I was so nervous to see Justin, and that took all my nerves away after seeing how happy he was to see me privately.Justin- The moment when I got to turn around see skylar for the first time, I had never been so anxious in my life and I couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked.
-
Skylar– Just my overall stress! There really was nothing that I needed to be so high strung or worked up over. It all falls into place.Justin-nothing, the day was perfect, my bride was perfect and I couldn’t ask for a more special day
-
Skylar– Just remember why you’re there. You’re there to marry your best friend and become one. Not to care what people think of your center places and food choices.Justin-remember that it’s your day and that the goal of the wedding is to marry your best friend and enjoy yourselves and to not try and please every guest.

We went to Denver, Colorado. Hiked throughout some mountains and trails, and hit up some breweries!
- Getting married. They say if you can get through planning a wedding, you can get through anything!
-
Just having friends and family, close and far all here to celebrate our special day with us.

Buying a house, Justin graduating college, and starting a family 🙂

There’s one thing we didn’t want to regret. And that was our photographer. We looked long and hard. When we came across Melissa, we knew we picked the right person. She was easy going and made everything seem effortless. We can’t wait to work with her again, when there’s family pictures to be taken.
