I am trying to remember when I met Shelby. It was so long ago, but I am guessing she was three years old when I started dating my husband shortly after I moved to Kalamazoo….so around that time. Her family has been the extended family of the Gregersen family all these years. I have watched Shelby grow up at so many Gregersen family events. I consider her another Gregersen niece (I have six!!). 😉 Her wedding was extra special because it was truly a family wedding. My husband and girls were there along with all my Gregersen family. It was a special day witnessing and photographing Shelby marry Adam.
Shelby and Adam, you two have such a bright future. My only advice as an “aunt” is to keep God above the marriage. Everything lines up so perfectly when you do. There will be so many wonderful memories and trials you two will be walking through….please know we will be praying and cheering you on through them. Hugs to you and I hope you love your wedding images. Thank you for asking me to photograph this very special day for you. Love, Aunt Melissa.
Now….on to the pretty pictures….I asked them to tell us a little more about them and their wedding day…here are their responses below.
He proposed in the UP after we went cliff diving.
They chose to do a first look….I love their big BIG smiles through it!
I love his patience and how he always points me back to Christ.- S I love her silliness and warm personality. -A
We love to talk about Gods word and serving at our church together. We also love trying new coffee shops around town and playing with our cat.
I loved being able to read our vows to each other in private. -Adam I loved being able to see him for the first time during the first look. His face was priceless-Shelby
We worked fast outside. It was so cold and so windy. And…so cold. 😉
We are striving to have Adam finish school and for him to get a job with his degree. We are also looking at going back to school and to travel.
Adam’s dad made these unity candle holders for them. What an amazing wedding gift!!
They wrote vows to each other and ready them privately to each other during the ceremony. What a memory they will cherish for sure.
One of my favorite photographs of the whole day right here. Very special bond Shelby has with her dad.
Grandpa Bob and Grandma Susan (my sweet inlaws) won the anniversary dance….married 49 years!
Grandpa Bob gave the couple some very good advice at the end of the dance….put God first in your marriage.
We are just so thankful for Melissa and all her hard work! Thank you!!
