Rylee and Taylor were married on a gorgeous Spring day this April in Holland, Michigan. I was so thrilled to photograph this wedding due to my wonderful history with Rylee’s family. Last year I photographed his little sister’s wedding in Pennsylvania and was so excited when asked to photographed Rylee and Taylor’s wedding. I am going to let Taylor tell “their story” below because wow….its a good one and I am so proud of them.

Please tell us your love story….how did you meet? Did you date right away? How long have you been together?
Rylee and I met through friends about 4 years ago. We didnt start dating right away. Rylee was very adamant that he didnt want a girlfriend. So we hung out for a long time. All our friends called me rylees not girlfriend until he finally asked me to be his girlfriend almost 3 years ago.
Was there an official proposal? If so, please tell us the story. 🙂
We went to the UP to check out a cabin Rylee’s family bought. One of the days we went around exploring pictured rocks, munising falls and kitchitikipi. Ryle was still in a wheelchair from an accident he had in August. He fell asleep at the wheel and broke both femurs, right ankle and left arm. During our UP trip his parents took a picture of us on a bench at munising falls. Rylee asked me to get his wheelchair for him and when I turned around he was down on one knee proposing.

What characteristic to you love most about each other?
Rylee- she is very determined and motivated in everything she does. Taylor- Rylee is such a hard worker and is always trying to do his best whether it be work or with me and making me happy.
What are some fun things you love to do together?
Snowmobiling, boating with friends, time at our cabins, Silver lake sand dunes

Let’s talk WEDDING! 🙂 What was the best memory of your wedding day for each of you?
We did a destination wedding in Jamaica. The weather was beautiful and the whole day was so relaxing and enjoyable and just focused on our love. Then we got to get all dressed up again and have a whole afternoon to take more picture and celebrate with all our family and friends at a reception back in michigan.
If there was one thing you could change about the day what would it be?
Absolutely nothing! Both days were perfect.

Any advice to other bride and grooms out there?
Its your day. Do it however you want and what will be less stressful on you. Everyone else will adjust and be ok with what you decide.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Jamaica

What is your biggest accomplishment together so far?
Getting through Rylees accident. It really brought us closer and made me feel like we can make it through anything together as long as we help each other.

Please list the top three priorities in your life as a couple together now. Things you will strive for together each day….
We are working hard to continue growing as a couple through devotion and prayer. We are also excited to just enjoy life together and be the best person we can be for each other.
