Paige and Joel {Downtown Kalamazoo Michigan Wedding Photographer}

Paige and Joel were married in downtown Kalamazoo at the gorgeous LOFT 310. Paige looked absolutely beautiful and timeless. I was so honored they asked me to photograph their wedding….I have been photographing Paige’s sister and her family for a couple years now, and it was so fun to meet more of their very sweet and kind family at their wedding. I asked Paige and Joel to tell us a little bit about their thoughts on their wedding day and tell us a little about them….so enjoy!! (please note it is in question/answer form for convenience). 😉

Please tell us your love story….how did you meet? Did you date right away? How long have you been together?
I first met Paige when she winked back at me. . .as in she clicked the wink icon on my Match.com profile. It was then and there that I knew we were destined to be together forever
Was there an official proposal? If so, please tell us the story. 🙂
I proposed to Paige at our home. After cooking her dinner and giving her flowers, I told her to turn on one of our favorite shows. She turned on the TV and the first thing to show up on the screen was “Will You Marry Me?” Of course she said yes!

What characteristic to you love most about each other?
I love Paige’s laugh. Paige loves that I am funny, kind, and just so lovable (her words and I know. . . she couldn’t pick just one thing).
What are some fun things you love to do together?
We enjoy traveling, watching movies, and cooking together. We also enjoy spending time with our nieces and nephews as long as they don’t overstay their welcome

Let’s talk WEDDING! 🙂 What was the best memory of your wedding day for each of you?
We both agreed that reading our personal vows to each other was our favorite wedding moment.
If there was one thing you could change about the day what would it be?
Nothing!!!

Any advice to other bride and grooms out there?
Write your own vows. You’ll remember them forever.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We are still deciding on where we want to go.

A couple months into dating, we took our first trip together to Chicago. We had fun exploring the city and going on a haunted ghost tour. We both had a great time and discovered new things we had in common.
Please list the top three priorities in your life as a couple together now. Things you will strive for together each day….
We will strive to always put each other first, take time for the little things, and grow our family.

I just love Paige’s smile in this image….it was a quick shot so Joel didn’t make it all the way in the image, but LOOK AT HER FACE! That smile radiates pure joy!!
