We are thrilled to announce we ~Gregersen Photography~ are teaming up with Audrey of Where the Heart Is Films!! Audrey did a family film for me this past Christmas season and I just fell in love with it, and am thrilled to now bring her on board to offer two amazing beach sessions. If you know me well, you know I LOVE Lake Michigan and shoot in South Haven several times a week in the Summer time. It’s always a little bit a drive to South Haven vs. staying in Kalamazoo…however, when you see Lake Michigan in the horizon it just makes it all worth it. We are so blessed to live so close to this wonderful Lake. It becomes a part of who we are here in West Michigan and what better way to document this time in your families life then having a photography session on the beach!
One of the great benefits of a combined session like this is that you are able to only prepare your family once for a photography session. We all know how stressful it is to get your family dressed and picture perfect, and when you have Audrey and I working together and the same time, you are truly getting so much more than just gorgeous photographs to purchase….but a film that you will find yourself watching each year over and over as a family. This film and the photographs from it will be cherished for a lifetime and even beyond with your children and grandchildren. We know how special it is and so excited to offer this opportunity to you all.
So here are all the details about these TWO special sessions we are offering….remember there are only two for a good reason, we are busy girls, business owners, moms and our Summer calendars are pretty booked, but we know how special this project is and that families are going to LOVE this…..so don’t wait if you know you want to book! 🙂
The Details
▪️$650 Session fee (Normally a $750 value!)
▪️An 8×10 portrait
▪️A 3-4 minute hand crafted film
Additional prints, products and digitals will be available for purchase at your ordering appointment with me (Melissa) at our photography studio in Kalamazoo. Â Every photo you purchase will be included into your film!
We only have two dates available for these : July 13th (sunset) and July 14th (sunrise) so contact either one of us to get the booking process started.
*Sessions are available for July 13+14th only, rescheduling available for ill weather. South Haven Beach Session only. Session fee is non-refundable, but can be reschedule if weather is not good. As many of you know that have worked with me in the past we do have a minimum $300 order investment above and beyond the session fee listed. Frequently Asked Questions:Â
Q: How many people can be photographed in the session? A: We are happy to allow grandparents at the session if you would like them there. Please reach out to us if you have other family members you are thinking of adding. Our vision for this project is to highlight the love and connection with one family unit, however we are open to chat if you have someone else you would like to add.
Q; Can we bring our pet? A: Sadly, no. Pets are not allowed on the beach.
Q: What are the exact times of the session?: A: The Friday night (Sunset) session will start 30-40 minutes before sunset to ensure we have the prettiest light possible. The Saturday Morning session will start at 8:30am. This is a great option for those families with smaller children who may not make it to 9pm to sunset pictures and still be happy. 😉 Our morning sessions are very popular because so many families know their kids will do better in the morning. You could then make a beach day at South Haven afterwards!
Q: How much is the deposit? A: We are asking that at least 1/2 of the deposit be paid to officially hold the date. The remainder balance will be due the week before the session. You will have to invoices. One from Gregersen Photography and one from Where the Heart Is Films….since we are two separate businesses.
Q: What if the weather is bad? A: Good question and we sure hope this won’t be an issue but if it is we will simply reschedule. Audrey and I will get together and to find dates that we are available together and then communicate those options with the Client.
Q: How does it work after the session? A: After the session, we set up a time for you to come to our photography studio for your ordering appointment. It is there you will place your order for your favorite images. You can order prints, portraits, albums or printable digital files from this session. With all our sessions, we do have a $300 order minimum investment to ensure that we not only stay in business but we can provide you with the best experience and quality of products. All the photos that you choose to purchase will be included in the film to make it all the more amazing!
Q: Do we have to order pictures or digital files afterwards to book this session? A: Yes. 🙂 Remember you are working with two different businesses.
Q: How many outfits do we bring? A: We suggest just one outfit to keep it simple. Our suggestion is always to coordinate, but do not match!
Q: What is your turn around time? A: The Film will be completed after the ordering appointment takes places at Gregersen Photography Studio. We ask for two – three weeks to finish the Film after the ordering appointment. Any prints, products or albums have a turn around time of 2-3 weeks. Printable digital files are available for download 1-2 weeks after the ordering appointment.
