I was thrilled to photograph Dave and Laurie’s wedding at one of my favorite venues….The Boathouse Villa at Bay Pointe Inn on Gun Lake. When we arrived everyone was so calm and all smiles. Dave and Laurie are just happy people, quick to smile, laugh and give a big hug….so as you can imagine it made for a fun day.
The weather was a bit moody on their wedding day at Gun Lake. It started out down right gloomy and very misty cloudy and then rain and some pretty impressive winds for their outdoor reception, and then the skies cleared at the end of the day to give us beautiful blue skies. This happy couple just rolled with it….they danced in the rain and enjoyed every moment and detail of their special day together.
Thank you so much Laurie and Dave for choosing me to photograph your wedding. You both were a breath of fresh air and I am beyond honored to have met you both and be a part of your wedding day. Enjoy the sneak peak!!

Not gonna lie, this was a tricky shot: shooting from the floor of a boat and is moving side to side directly into the sun and trying to get that right angle. So glad I did because I love this image, we were determined to capture that blue sky!!
The view of Bay Pointe Inn and the Boathouse Villa from Gun Lake is just gorgeous. I so love working at this location.
And the end of our time together, they gave me permission to do some thing creative….so we came up with the shot above of the whole boathouse with them. 🙂
