Photographing a bride who is Honoring Family Traditions and Heritage
This is one of my gorgeous brides for 2017. Paige has been a delight to get to know, and I have learned that she truly honors her family heritage. She asked to do this special session wearing her grandmother’s kimono. Her grandmother came to the session and dressed Paige….I learned putting on a kimono is quite a process of different layers and wrapping. This gorgeous kimono was worn by her grandmother for her wedding day 60 years ago….how sweet is that!! What a wonderful way to honor her grandmother by doing this special photography session.
I remember when I was only 14 years old trying on my grandmother’s wedding dress….and I didn’t fit in it….it was to small!! My grandmother was very very petite…we had a good laugh about it back then….but oh how I wish we still had that dress and could do a fun session like this with my daughters…there is something so magical about a woman’s wedding dress especially so many years later.
Paige is a natural beauty. I so look forward to her wedding day in May…..as gorgeous as these images are… I am sure she will be radiant in her own wedding dress.
Paige brought in this gorgeous umbrella/parasail…..
Here is a photograph of her sweet and beautiful grandmother! I just love being able to take photographs that I know will be cherished for a lifetime and beyond!
What a beauty you are Paige!!!
