Carolyn and Zack’s elegant meets rustic wedding in Saugatuck Michigan!

logo flowers

Carolyn and Zack were married in Zack’s hometown of Saugatuk, Michigan. The girls got ready at Zach’s family home and gorgeous property. So much happy energy and anticipation was in that home when we arrived! It was the perfect day for a wedding 65 degrees and sunny. We so enjoyed spending the day with them. Everyone was so kind and all about having a good time and just enjoying this special day for Carolyn and Zack.

Bridal gown hanging in a beautiful stairway and her mother helping her into it.

  • We’ve been together for 7 years. We met through work at family & children services. We didn’t date right away. One day after an exhausting 2nd shift, Zack and I (and one other coworker) went to Up & Under for drinks. I won $100 on pull tabs and it was uphill since then.

Stunning bridal bouquet

Wedding rings and the brides earrings perfectly placed on the wedding dress lace.

  • Niagra falls (the Canadian side) he proposed in front of the waterfall.

Getting ready images are a fav.

The handsome groom ready to see his bride!

As you can see, Carolyn is a gorgeous Egyptian goddess on her wedding day. She told Zack as we were taking pictures, I can’t wait to see what our baby looks like some day. Oh my goodness, will that be one CUTE baby!! 🙂

Carolyn, you were just a dream to photograph, you looked AMAZING!!!!!!

The bride looking perfect before seeing her groom!

  • Outgoing personalities
  • Going on adventures, traveling different countries, experiencing new cultures, fishing, and of course spending the holidays in the Bahamas

First looks are a favorite!

First looks are just so so fun, I love watching the anticipation build for the couple. The grooms are nervous, letting out a deep breath when we say she is on her way. It’s that moment they think about and envision and we always want it to be THAT special!!!

The happy couple having a few private moments before they walk down the isle.

Love exudes!

Having any type of water source in the background always sets a romantic tone.

  • Zack’s best memory- a lot, but mainly the first look

My best memory- too many to count, but I loved Zack’s impromptu “organized dances” with his buddies to 90’s boy band songs

Plating with the veil!

They were all about pictures, love couples like this. We gad so much fun with her veil!!

So romantic!

He loves her. ;)

Mt. Bald Head staircase is a famous landmark in Saugatuk. That staircase is so steep. I climbed it last year, it’s no joke. I was quite relieved to hear they did not want to climb it that day. Hauling camera gear up those stairs would have serious done me in! 😉

Steps are a wonderful backdrop.

  • We really wish we could of talked to all of our guests. The first 2 tables we visited with talked to us for soooo long. I wish we would of planned that a bit better.

Beach shots speak for themselves.

Zack talked Carolyn into going to the beach for these photographs, she was a little hesitant and he told her YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS…YOU ARE GOING TO WANT THESE PHOTOS. Good man right there!!

Beautiful weather equals wedding portraits at the beach!

  • Puerto Rico!!

Wedding party fun!

Wedding party was so fun!

  • It’s hard to say, there has been so many. I’d say recently, it’s agreeing on a county to live in.

Here comes the beautiful bride!

So serene and gorgeous outdoor wedding.

  • Our trip to Greece in June 2017 was the best

Married!!

Do you see the image above….Zack skipped out of the ceremony site with his bride. How cute is that!!

Bride and groom sharing a moment before getting on the party bus!

Oh, a party bus always provides some great shots!

The reception site was a mix of elegance with rustic….Zack is a big outdoors sportsman. So they incorporated his loves into the design and it was so unique!!!

Bringing the outside in for the reception.

What twinkle lights can do inside a silo for the reception. Beautiful!

Wedding table details were just beautiful!

Wedding cake perfection, Super hero style.

  • Buying a house, being patient with each other, and having fun!

Bride and groom's first dance.

They had a blast dancing the night away!!

Let's get this party started.
