It’s Wedding season around here at Gregersen Photography….and oh how we love weddings! Kelli and Dave had their wedding ceremony looking over downtown Kalamazoo at the SKYDECK at LOFT 310. We always enjoy photographing weddings at this gorgeous modern venue! We know that this day has nothing to do with us a photographers, our job is to photograph the day as it unfolds….and then tell the stroy through images. So please enjoy the wedding photographs below. Kelli and Dave, thank you so much for choosing us at your wedding photographers. We love what we do and we are so grateful for you two. We truly wish you only the best in your marriage!

  • Dave and I met 10 years ago through our friends at a New Year’s Eve party. My best friend was dating his fraternity brother, and they introduced us. We hit it off and talked most of the night, but lost contact until 6 years later when we decided to catch up in Kalamazoo over drinks. Conversation was so good that I made him three hours late for a dinner he was supposed to go to. I was leaving the country soon, so we started speed dating and decided to make the long distance work. One year later, I moved in with him in Arizona and we’ve been together ever since for over four years now!

First Look!! I love how the anticipation builds for this very special moment for each couple on their wedding day. This “first look” moment is one we here over and over that couples say was the best moment of their wedding day.

Bride and Groom's first look was magical!

  • Dave and I are avid hikers, so it wasn’t abnormal for us to spend a weekend hiking together. He suggested we hike our favorite trail, Peralta trail in the Supersitition Mountains one Saturday and I thought nothing of it. He acted strange the whole time, so I kept asking him what was wrong. At the top, I “lizarded out” (laid on a rock to enjoy the sun) and when i got up, he was on one knee with a ring in his hand. He designed the ring himself and it was perfect!

Reception details that include white roses are always beautiful!

  • I love his sense of humor, sense of direction, and eternal optimism. He loves my intelligence, sense of humor, and that I laugh at his jokes. We both push each other out of our comfort zones in different ways: I’m good with other languages and travel easily, but these things make him uncomfortable and I facilitate the differences for him; while I can be quite shy and awkward with new people, and he smoothes those conversations for me.

Just the bride looking beautiful and showing off her train, bouquet and RING!

  • We love to travel together, read and discuss books, try new foods, go to concerts, and hang out outdoors.

  • The best memory from our wedding day for me (bride) was our first dance. I could see no one else but him, and after all of the stress of wedding planning, that was when I felt most relaxed, carefree, and in love. For him, it was seeing me for the very first time.

Stunning staircase shots of the bride and groom at the venue

  • Nothing
  • Relax. Enjoy the day itself. It will all work out.

Magical shots of the couple and the bride alone. This venue is to die for!

They were married on the SkyDeck at LOFT 310. It was a very warm day, but whether rain, shine, heat or cold….couples breeze through them. Weather doesn’t stop true love!

Such a proud daddy walking his daughter down the isle.

We went to Italy. (Venice, Florence, Rome, and Sorrento)

  • We’ve been able to make long distance work, have traveled together to foreign countries, and have learned to accept and work with each other’s strengths and weaknesses to strengthen our marriage.

The deep green and gray colors that the bridal party wore were stunning!

The whole wedding day was perfect. The flowers were gorgeous, the dresses and hair styles were magnificent, and everyone had a good time!

1. Support one another
2. Show our love often and everyday
3. Be a team
