Olivia and Duncan {Bay Pointe Inn Gun Lake Wedding Photographer}

Olivia and Duncan were married at one of my all time favorite venues….Bay Pointe Inn on Gun Lake. So enjoy photographing weddings at Bay Pointe. There is such a calm easy going vibe there since its right on Gun Lake.

I hope you enjoy getting to know this sweet couple a little more through their wedding day sneak peak…they are one adorable couple as you will see below.

• Please tell us your love story….how did you meet? Did you date right away? How long have you been together?
  We met about five years ago when we started working at a small swim club as lifeguards. We did not start dating until we went off to school together after that summer of lifeguarding. After spending a few months together at Michigan State as friends we decided that we wanted to be more than that. Our first official date was at PF Changs on my birthday. We have been together ever since, about four years and eight months.

• Was there an official proposal? 
  Duncan proposed to me on a beach in the Dominican Republic. It was at night and no one else was around. It was very romantic! The ring was a few sizes too big but I still wore it proudly for the remainder of the trip.
• What characteristic to you love most about each other?
  I love how Duncan always has a smile on his face no matter what. He is always so excited to spend time with me and enjoys the simple things we do together. I know that I can count on him to do anything for me.
  I love the person that Olivia brings out in me. I am genuinely a happier person around her. I love the little things she does for me.

What are some fun things you love to do together?

• Let’s talk WEDDING! 🙂 What was the best memory of your wedding day for each of you?
  The best memory from our wedding was at the end of the night when we decided to jump in the lake. Many of the guests and bridal party jumped in with us!
• If there was one thing you could change about the day what would it be?
  That it lasted longer!

• Where did you go on your honeymoon?
  We went to Frankfort Michigan for two nights and then went to the Homestead Resort for three more nights. We were planning to only stay at the Homestead for two nights but we were having so much fun we decided to stay one more!

• Please add a wonderful special memory if you would like…
  We really enjoyed all the mini trips we took to Shelbyville and Kalamazoo so that we could arrange all of our vendors.
• Please list the top three priorities in your life as a couple together now. Things you will strive for together each day….
  Right now we are working on living healthier lifestyles. We are trying to eat better and go to the gym more often so that we can live long healthy lives together. Duncan is focusing on his new job and I am working on trying to finish my last semester of school. We are also starting to plan all of the fun trips we will take in the future.
