I met Heather the first year I was starting my photography business. I photographed her wedding in 2008. She is such a sweet contagious happy personality and we always kept in touch. Years later, she and Josh were blessed with an adorable little girl…Lily. I had the honor of photographing her a couple of times, and oh is she CUTE!! Heather discovered her passion and extremely amazing talent of decorating cakes. The girl is G.O.O.D. She made my cake for Noelle’s first birthday party and it was not only so yummy but beyond CUTE.
This past August, Heather was not feeling well and diagnosed with leukemia. How quickly life has changed for her and her sweet family. My heart just broke when I heard the news, and I reached out to her to see if she was open to this photo shoot where we document her journey through photography. She of course agreed and came in just like always….smiling and so relaxed and even keeled. She has handled this trial with grace and courage. I am so proud to know her, and I KNOW she will beat this.
