I met Amber several years ago and when you meet her you can not help but like her….she is a sweet sweet girl. We share the same love of photography and she has become a client of mine and even more a cheerleader and advocate for my photography business. We are both entrepreneurs and small business owners and completely understand all the challenges that come with those titles. I am Type A and pretty detailed and super picky about things, but particularly on paint jobs. I can spot a flaw quickly and always have my painters fix them. They get tired of me, but I want it to look perfect.

I started my home based business in January 2009. I first started with decorating my first born’s nursery. And then my friends asked me to help with theirs. And I discovered how much I loved it. So I started doing kids rooms, which later snowballed into other interiors of the home.

Personally I am looking forward to stepping out of my comfort of shyness and trying to market more and speak more about what I do. I also have started to blog more regularly on, AllThingsAmber, which I have really enjoyed. I not only feature my work and design projects, but also things that I love pertaining to lifestyle. So a bit of fashion, beauty, DIYS, faith, and food.

I find interior design inspiration all around me. But when I am in a rut, my favorite place to look or be inspired is in nature. It helps me clear my mind of the clutter to get to an idea. And another place for inspiration, it’s a wierd thing for me, but my dreams. I typically will wake up to an idea or vision for something in a dream and I have to quickly get up and write it down or sketch it out so I can remember it the next day.

I love seeing the end result of my vision and design in a clients home. It is so rewarding to me.

Maybe owning my own small design studio locally. I’d love to develop my own textiles line for pillows!
- I have thought about real estate. I think selling homes and being an interior stylist would pair nicely together!
- If I could be a designer for one local builder here in the surrounding area that I absolutely adore!!! I wont say their name, ( or should I?) but I have connected with them, they are not ready for more designers yet, but will keep me posted. So if they contacted me to offer a spot, it would just MAKE MY DAY AMAZING!!
- I love what I do and love helping people who feel lost in their homes or don’t know where to begin in a design or to find their style. I even just love consulting with people if they just need ideas or inspiration. I want to help them get started, I find it so important to be able to make their homes a space where they feel inspired, find their style that appeals to them, and to help put it all together.
